In Defense of All the Batman Books Currently Being Put Out By DC by Lan M.

Oversaturation and overexposure of the Brand is simply a myth to perpetuate bad vibes against us Loyal Batman™ Fans.  In a world where Marvel puts out ten X-Men-related books a month, DC should not be blamed for putting out a plethora of books featuring the same character. It really isn’t that bad even; I mean, as of April of this year, there’s only:

  1. Batman
  2. Batman ‘89 (Limited series)
  3. Batman Black and White (Limited series)
  4. Batman/Catwoman (Limited series)
  5. Batman Earth One Vol. 3 (Final volume)
  6. Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point (Limited series)
  7. Batman/Superman
  8. Batman: The Detective (Limited series)
  9. Batman: Urban Legends
  10. Batman vs. Ra’s al Ghul (Limited series)
  11. Detective Comics
  12. Legends of the Dark Knight
  13. The Batman & Scooby Doo Mysteries
  14. The Next Batman: Second Son (Limited series)

  1. Robin and Batman
  2. The Legend of Batman

Batman-Adjacent books :

(Books that don’t center around Batman, but feature members of Gotham and/or the Bat himself in a supporting/leading role)

  1. Future State: Gotham
  2. Justice League
  3. Justice League: Last Ride (Limited series)
  4. Catwoman
  5. Challenge of the Supersons (Limited series)
  6. Harley Quinn
  7. The Joker
  8. Man-Bat (Limited series)
  9. Nightwing
  10. Robin
  11. Strange Adventures (Limited series)
  12. Batman: White Knight Presents Harley Quinn (Limited series)
  13. Joker/Harley: Criminal Sanity (Limited series)

….Okay, so.

I can’t defend this, actually.
